Dawson trial gets underway today

YOUNGSTOWN — Testimony began today in the trial of Larry Dawson, 26, of Wesley Avenue, who faces charges of murder and child endangering for the December 2012 death of his 15-month-old son, Rayvon.

A jury was picked Monday before Judge Shirley Christian in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

An autopsy revealed the child died of blunt force trauma to the back of the head.
