Boardman family reports waking up to home burglary

Township police are investigating after a family reported catching a suspect burglarizing their Southern Boulevard home.

A woman told police that she was home with her two children about 4 a.m. Tuesday when someone entered the residence and stole her purse.

She said she was awoken in the middle of the night by the sound of a window opening. Her son reportedly saw someone climbing out of a living room window.

An alarm at Valley Christian School, located on Southern Boulevard, also reportedly sounded about the same time as the home burglary.
