BINGO/CARD PARTIES

St. Columba Cathedral, 159 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will have a Christmas in July bingo and card party beginning at 1 p.m. July 12 in the church hall. A donation of $6 includes a light lunch. CRAFT SHOWS

Celebrate Poland craft show will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Poland Village Hall, 308 S. Main St. Potential arts and crafts vendors, as well as nonprofit groups, are asked to call Barbara Banks at 330-757-4584 for registration. The fee for this one-day event is $30 for a 15-by-10-foot space. Celebrate Poland is a family friendly weekend including a parade, music and fireworks.

FLEA MARKETS

Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown, will host a flea market from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and each Tuesday into October, weather permitting. Vendors can set up early in the large spaces, which cost $5 each. Refreshments are available.

FUNDRAISERS

Burton-Middlefield Rotary is sponsoring an escorted Motorcycle Run at 10 a.m. June 28 at the Geauga County Fairgrounds. The “Rotary Ride” will be led by Geauga County Sheriff Dan McClelland with the world’s littlest drug sniffing dog, Midge. The sheriff will take the participants on a 55-mile ride through Geauga County. The cost is $25 per motorcycle, which includes a rider for free. The ride will benefit the Burton-Middlefield Rotary Veterans Housing and Assistance Fund. Participants can register or pay online at www.bmrmotorcyclerun.com. Registration the day of the ride will begin at 8 a.m.

RAFFLES

St. Rose Church, 48 E. Main St., Girard, is selling tickets for a summer raffle of up to $5,000 and a 50-inch flat screen television. It will take place at the Summer Food Taste on Aug.15. Raffle prizes will include a $3,000 second prize and $1,000 third prize. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. For information call the rectory at 330-545-4351.

SALES

East Palestine Area Historical Society has rescheduled its Community Yard Sale. It’s set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the society, 555 Bacon Ave. Hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, chips, desserts, pop, and water will be sold at reasonable prices. A wide variety of items will be available, including clothes, furniture, household items and crafts. More than 100 spaces are available for rent at $10 each. Each space is approximately 15-by-15. Sellers will need to take their own tents and tables. Setup for sellers begins at 7 a.m. Call 330-271-1979 or any society member for a contract or information. Helping Hands Closet at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, has new and gently used clothes for the entire family. Just in for women are sizes 3x, 4x and 5x. Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday.

TRIPS

Jewish Community Center is planning a bus trip Sept. 27 to Pittsburgh for the musical “Jersey Boys,” the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. The bus will leave the JCC at 11 a.m. and return at 7 p.m. Prices are $90 for members and $100 for nonmembers. The cost includes an orchestra seat and transportation. Dinner is on your own. Trumbull County Travel Club’s next day trip will be a shopping trip July 23 to Canal Fulton, which will include a canal boat ride, glass production studio and dairy. Aug. 15 will be a dinner and wine taste on the way to a theater production at Rabbit Run. An Oct. 20-24 motor coach trip to Williamsburg, Va., and Washington, D.C., is in place and filling quickly. The club will travel to Hawaii with a stop in San Diego in 2016.

WCG Bus Trip, an all ladies bus trip to Chicago, is set for July 17, 18 and 19. The cost is $295 per person based on four ladies per room and includes the bus ride and hotel.
