Police arrest Walmart worker for giving away store items
LIBERTY — Liberty police arrested Rachel Bowser, 40, of Youngstown on Saturday and charged her with petty theft.
Bowser, who had worked at Walmart on Goldie Road, signed a written statement admitting to overriding sales so that customers could receive products without paying for them.
The loss to Walmart was $429.16.
Liberty officers transferred Bowser to the Youngstown Police Department and she is scheduled to appear in Girard Municipal Court on Tuesday at 9 a.m.
