Poland Township police investigate accidental shooting with no injuries

An incident in which a gun went off in a township home with a child inside has been ruled an accident, police officials say.

Police responded to a Youngstown-Poland Road residence Saturday night after a gun went off, according to a police report.

The child was not in the immediate vicinity of the gun, but was inside the house, police officials said.

No charges were filed.
