PALO aids DiRusso’s with its new website

YOUNGSTOWN

PALO Creative, a Youngstown-based, full-service advertising and digital media agency, is working with DiRusso’s Sausage Inc. to help the family-owned Youngstown business roll out a new website.

For more than 50 years, DiRusso’s has been a staple in the Mahoning Valley, with its signature “Real Italian Sausage” sold at fairs and festivals in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Among the website’s key features is a store locator map to help customers find the nearest DiRusso’s retailer based on their ZIP code.

A new community section will include recipes and cooking tips from DiRusso’s own employees.

Arc-flash seminar

BOARDMAN

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have an electrical preventive-maintenance seminar at Mr. Anthony’s, 7440 South Ave., on July 8. The discussion will be geared around: “What is Arc Flash? Does your company know the five steps of an Arc Flash study?”

Guests also will learn the importance of electrical preventive maintenance as well as the benefits of lowering worker’s compensation claims, limiting liability, protecting equipment and preventing injury.

The event, sponsored by City Machining Technologies, requires reservations by July 3. Costs are $20 for members and $30 for nonmembers.

To register, email Amy at amy@regionalchamber.com.

Cleanup estimate

PIKETON, OHIO

The U.S. Department of Energy says the cleanup of a Cold War-era uranium plant in southern Ohio is expected to take another three decades or more.

The cleanup employs more than 1,800 people and provides some of the best-paying jobs in a pocket of high unemployment. Last year, hundreds of layoffs were threatened until Congress provided a last-minute infusion of funding.
