Surprise party honors Craigs' 50th anniversary

Ron and Maureen Craig of Boardman were honored for their 50th wedding anniversary with a surprise party at the Aut Mori Grotto Hall in Youngstown.

It was hosted by their children and grandchildren.

Their children are Sean (Chris) Craig and Rob (Sarah) Craig, and they have five grandchildren. Ryleigh Craig is their great-grandchild.

The former Maureen, also known as “Moe,” Cappy married Mr. Craig May 15, 1965, at the Chapel of Friendly Bells in Youngstown.

Mrs. Craig worked part-time for Town & Country Cleaners and Gorant’s Candies.

Mr. Craig retired from General Motors, where he worked for 31 years. He is the owner of Western Reserve Flag Co. in Boardman. A member of the Aut Mori Grotto Clown Unit, he is affectionately known as Pudge. He is a Vietnam War veteran.
