LAWYERS

Juris doctorate

Darien M. Brucoli, daughter of Susan and Thomas Brucoli of Howland, recently graduated with a juris doctorate degree from the University of Toledo College of Law. She is a 2007 graduate of Howland High School. She graduated cum laude from Bowling Green State University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in art.

Brucoli co-founded the University of Toledo College of Law Art Society and plans on practicing family law.

DOCTORATE

Nursing-practice degree

Deborah Dillon, an acute-care nurse practitioner, recently received her doctorate of nursing practice from the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University. She studied “Factors that Effect the Successful Transition of the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to Hospital Based Practice.”

She has accepted the position of assistant professor in the acute-care nurse practitioner program at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va.

She received her master’s degrees in nursing from Kent State University and the University of Pittsburgh. Her bachelor’s degree in nursing was from Youngstown State University, and she earned a diploma in nursing from Sharon Regional.

She is a graduate of Brookfield High School. Her husband is Dr. Walter Paladino, who specializes in cardiac electrophysiology.

Degree from NEOMED

Anthony R. Fossaceca, son of Dr. Carl and Diane Fossaceca of McDonald, graduated with a doctor of pharmacy degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University.

He graduated from McDonald High School in 2008 and completed undergraduate studies at Youngstown State University in 2011.

Fossaceca, along with his father, will be opening Anthony’s Family Pharmacy, a professional full service pharmacy in Howland, later this summer.

Pharmacy degree

Kristin Leigh Frank of Poland recently earned a doctor of pharmacy degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine School of Pharmacy.

Frank is the daughter of Alan and Reenie Frank of Poland. She is a 2007 graduate of Poland Seminary High School and a 2011 graduate of Youngstown State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry.

She will live in the New York City area and has accepted a position as a pharmacist with Rite Aid in New Jersey.

Organizational leadership

Paulette E. Koss, formerly of Boardman, recently received her doctorate of education in organizational leadership from Brandman University in California.

She graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School. She received her bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University and her master’s degree from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, Calif.

She is working as a principal at Road to Success Academy in Saugus, Calif. The academy is a specialized educational institution helping girls in the juvenile- justice system.
