Mahoning detective speaks at group's meeting Monday

Detective Pat Mondora from the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office is the chief speaker at the Brownlee Woods Neighborhood Association’s monthly meeting Thursday at Faith Community Church, 1919 E. Midlothian Blvd.

Social/refreshment time will begin at 6 p.m. with a business meeting at 6:30.

Mondora will present information about identity theft and phone fraud.

Councilman John R. Swierz, D-7th, also will be in attendance to address issues concerning the community.

The group also is announcing its summer movies set for Lynn Park.

The first movie, “Alexander’s Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day,” will be shown Saturday. The next movie will be shown July 18, and the final movie, Aug. 22.

All movies are lawn seating, so bring lawn chairs or blankets. Admission is free, and movies will begin at dusk. Snacks will be made available by Faith Community Church.
