vacation bible schools at area churches

Lists of vacation Bible schools open to the public will run on the Religion page. Please include the following information: the complete name of the church; address with city or township; time, date and location of sessions; program theme; ages or grades; and whether it’s free or there is a fee. Information should be submitted two weeks before the school’s opening or its registration deadline. The Religion deadline is 5 p.m. Wednesday for publication that Saturday. For verification, include a name and phone number of a contact person, which will not be published.

Rising Star Baptist Church, 2943 Wardle Ave., Youngstown: “Team Jesus” is the theme of the activity planned from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The sessions are for participants from 3 years old to seniors. For information, call the church at 330-746-5890 or visit www.rsbcjesus.org.

St. Jude Parish, 180 Seventh St., Columbiana: “Camp Kilimanjaro” is the theme of the free program scheduled from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday for children from 4 years old through fifth grade. Activities include crafts, games and snacks. Call the church at 330-482-2351.

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown: “G-Force” is the theme of the program planned from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 6-10 for children from pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. Activities include science, missions, music, story time and recreation. Lunch will be provided daily. There will be party July 10. Registration is free. Contact the church at 330-799-9390.
