A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

June 10

Warrant: Police arrested Grace Clutter, 41, of Parkman Road Northwest, Warren, on a warrant from Canfield Mayor’s court for failure to appear.

Warrant: Police arrested Robert Goonen, 19, of Valley Road, Darlington,Pa., on a Canfield Mayor’s Court warrant for failure to appear.

AUSTINTOWN

June 8

Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s windshield was damaged by rocks. It was parked at a home in the 20 block of North Roanoke Avenue.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to an account of a tenant an apartment in the 800 block of Compass West Drive.

Theft: A wallet was stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 5000 block of Yorktown Lane.

Assault: There is a suspect in an assault at a home in the 200 block of Marcia Drive.

Theft: A woman who lives in the 1000 block of North Meridian Road reported her debit card was stolen and used.

Theft: A bad check was passed at Red Carpet Automotive,1711 S. Raccoon Road.

Breaking and entering: A shed was broken into at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 470 Norquest Blvd.

June 9

Drug offense: Police arrested Sarah Markulin, 27, of Idaho Road, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Burglary: A total of $120 in cash was taken from a home in the 5000 block of Norquest Boulevard.

Attempted burglary: A man attempted to break into a home in the 5000 block of West Rockwell Road but fled when he was confronted by the homeowner.

Warrant: Police arrested John Girardi, 29, of Mahoning Avenue, Youngstown, on a warrant for criminal trespassing at Hillbrook Apartments. They also charged him with another count of criminal trespassing.

Burglary: Unknown property was stolen in a burglary at a home in the 100 block of North Kimberly Avenue.

Theft: Police accused Rhea Maher, 49, of Hallock-Young Road, Warren, of taking $41.26 in cash at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave., after picking up merchandise and not paying for it and then returning it with a receipt she had from a purchase earlier in the day.

Criminal trespassing: John Girardi,29, of Mahoning Ave. was arrested on a warrant for criminal trespassing at Hillbrook Apartments and on a another charge of criminal trespassing.

June 10

Domestic violence: Police arrested Jeremiah Long, 40, of Atlanta Avenue, on a domestic-violence charge.

Telecommunications harassment: Ray Mashorda of Mashorda’s County Gardens, 5627 Mahoning Ave., said he was threatened.

Theft: A GPS device was taken from an auto parked at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Domestic violence: Police arrested Dylan Walters, 20, of Meander Drive, on charges of domestic violence and endangering children.

Animal cruelty: Police issued a summons to Alicia Bednarik, 26, of West Rockwell Road, for a loose dog after her dog bit someone.

Aggravated menacing: An ex-boyfriend threatened to kill a new boyfriend at Dairy Queen, 146 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

June 11

Aggravated robbery: An man pulled a gun on a victim and demanded his wallet at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.

Auto theft/recovered property: A vehicle was taken from a home in the 3000 block of Canfield Road and was later recovered.

Passing bad checks: Bad checks were reported at Fred Martin Ford, 4701 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Police issued a summons to Kenneth Jefferson, 62, of North Beverly Avenue, on a charge of theft. Police said he hid $46.42 in steaks under his shirt at Save-A-Lot, 1715 S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: Police arrested Sarah Sharpe, 26, of North Wendover Circle, on a charge of theft of $64.36 in merchandise she failed to scan at the self-checkout aisle.

Theft: Police arrested Gary Berenics, 32, of Blossom Lane, Warren, on a theft charge. Police accused him of stealing eight DVDs, which he unwrapped, valued at $99.73, and a pair of men’s work boots, valued at $49.76.

Lost or stolen property: A wallet turned up missing after a purchase was made at Austintown Beverage Center, 4903 Mahoning Ave.

June 12

Theft: Money was taken from a center console of an auto parked at a home in the 1000 block of Signature Drive.

Theft: A wallet was taken from a vehicle parked in the 1000 block of West Hampton Drive.

Theft: Police arrested Derreka Clinkscale, 30, of Moherman Avenue, Youngstown, on a charge of theft from Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

June 13

Burglary: Forced entry was discovered at an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West Nothing was taken.

Criminal damaging: Lawn damage caused by a vehicle was reported at a home in the 3000 block of Edinburgh Drive.

Recovered property: A total of $90 was recovered from a home on North Edgehill Avenue.

Theft: Police arrested Ray Magianetti, no age or address, on a theft charge. Police said he took $70.91 in merchandise from Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.

June 14

Burglary: An attempt to enter an apartment in the 1000 block of Fountain Square Drive failed, but a door was damaged.

Theft: Fraudulent merchandise returns were reported at Walmart.

Theft: A paddle boat was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Ayrshire Drive.

Domestic violence: Police arrested Charles Parisi, 27, of Viall Road, on a charge of domestic violence.
