Warren house occupied by five people robbed of motorcycle

Staff report

WARREN

Police are investigating an early-morning armed robbery at a house on Federal Street Northeast in which four people said they were held at gunpoint while two men obtained a garage-door opener and stole a motorcycle out of the garage.

The motorcycle’s owner said he heard a noise about 12:05 a.m. Thursday and walked toward the front door, where he saw two men with guns – one of them with a mask on his face – and they ordered him to walk to the kitchen.

In the kitchen were two women; all three people were ordered to get on the floor. A third woman was ordered from her bedroom to the kitchen, where she also was told to get on the floor.

The men took the garage-door opener and left. A fifth resident said he didn’t realize anything was going on but saw a U-Haul truck parked in the driveway around the time of the incident.

Police found a U-Haul truck in Packard Park a short time later and towed it for safekeeping, but the motorcycle was not inside.
