A summary of recent criminal activity in Hubbard, Liberty and Girard:

HUBBARD

June 10

Burglary: Someone entered a garage in the 200 block of Oakdale Avenue and removed an $800 chain saw.

Arrest: A traffic stop near West Liberty Street resulted in the arrest of Nathan A. Bielski of Old Furnace Road, Youngstown. Bielski, 40, was wanted on a Lawrence County, Pa., warrant charging failure to appear in court.

Arrest: Police in Warren picked up 30-year-old Christopher Minadeo of Clingan Street, Hubbard. He was wanted on two Hubbard warrants.

Domestic violence: A 16-year-old Hubbard girl was charged after her grandmother alleged the teen had pushed her backward during an argument.

June 11

Domestic violence: Bruce J. Graban, 30, of Stewart Avenue, Hubbard, faced charges of domestic violence and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after his mother alleged Graban had threatened to kill her as she confronted him about possible drug use. He also had taken her 2007 Kia vehicle without permission before the car was recovered in Hermitage, Pa., a report showed.

Theft: A woman discovered an auxiliary cord, an iPod device, a phone-charging cord and three compact discs missing from her vehicle while in the 500 block of West Liberty Street.

June 12

Summonses: Officers responding to a suspicious person in the 200 block of Hager Street handed summonses to 19-year-old Essence A. Allie of Cincinnati and 33-year-old Nakia S. Harden of Charleston, W.Va., charging them with soliciting without a permit.

June 13

Citation: Authorities responded to a possible solicitor near East Water Street and Hillcrest Avenue, where they cited Taran L. Funches, 22, of Chicago with soliciting without a permit.

June 16

Summons: Police were dispatched to West Park and Stewart avenues regarding a 911 call pertaining to a possible hit-and-run situation before issuing a summons charging 26-year-old Stevi A. Hess of Linden Avenue Northeast, Warren, with leaving the scene of an accident.

LIBERTY

June 10

Recovered property: A 2006 Volkswagen vehicle was returned to a Hadley Avenue woman after she reported it had been taken without permission.

Arrest: Officers at a Motor Inn Drive motel took into custody 32-year-old Anthony P. Divencenzo Jr. of Ferndale Avenue, Youngstown. He was wanted on a Weathersfield Township warrant charging burglary.

Theft: Timothy M. Williams, 34, of Washington Boulevard, Boardman, was charged with stealing two packages of steaks from Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave.

June 11

Arrest: Weathersfield Township police handed Kimberly E. Chupa to Liberty authorities. Chupa, 44, of Main Street, Mineral Ridge, was wanted on warrants charging failure to appear in court.

June 12

Arrest: Youngstown police handed to township authorities 36-year-old Valerie A. Dieter of Park Avenue, Youngstown, who was wanted on several warrants.

Aggravated menacing: A manager with a Belmont Avenue cash-advance business told police a customer threatened to retaliate when she denied his request to open an account because of unpaid fees.

Harassment: A Virginia Beach, Ill., man reported that while at a Motor Inn Drive motel, his brother sent several threatening text messages, causing the accuser to fear for his safety.

Arrest: Homer E. Green of Detroit Avenue, Youngstown, was taken into custody after having been pulled over on Belmont Avenue. The 64-year-old Green was wanted on a Campbell warrant and was found to have six driving suspensions, police said.

Arrest: Authorities took custody of 22-year-old Sloane U. Matthews of Roman Street Southeast, Warren, who was accused of failing to appear in court on a theft count.

June 13

Arrest: Authorities in the 3100 block of Hadley Avenue arrested 26-year-old Greg S. Latronica of Hadley, Liberty, on a warrant while investigating suspicious activity in the area.

June 14

Arrest: Police picked up 34-year-old Justin Johnson walking in the 2700 block of Belmont Avenue. Johnson, of Outlook Avenue, Youngstown, was wanted on a township warrant.

Theft: Two tomato plants were removed from a yard in the 3000 block of Northgate Road.

Arrest: While responding to West Montrose Avenue regarding a missing juvenile, officers took into custody 31-year-old Robert A. Sellars of West Princeton Avenue, Youngstown, who was accused of failing to appear in court.

June 15

Domestic violence: Candace M. Latimer, 38, of Church Hill Road, Liberty, was charged with the crime after her husband alleged Latimer had struck his face multiple times during an argument. The victim had redness and a small cut inside his mouth, a report said.

June 16

Arrest: Beaver Township authorities at the Mahoning County jail transferred custody of Joe B. Gibson Jr. to Liberty police. The 46-year-old Gibson, of Roanoke Avenue, Youngstown, was wanted on a warrant charging larceny.

Domestic violence: A charge was pending against a Liberty man, 34, after his former girlfriend alleged he had struck her face during an argument, then left her residence in a black Nissan Altima vehicle.

Theft: A Tanglewood Drive woman noticed a $500 gold ring missing from her residence.

June 17

Arrest: Youngstown police in the 2700 block of Belmont Avenue relinquished custody of Michelle M. Flores to township authorities. Flores, 52, of Oxford Street, Campbell, was wanted on a Girard Municipal Court warrant.

GIRARD

June 14

Arrest: Authorities apprehended Roy D. Schimpf of East Prospect Street, Girard, after saying he had led them on a foot chase as they tried to take him into custody on a warrant.

Breaking and entering: Someone entered a home in the 800 block of Lawrence Avenue, apparently through the garage. A microwave oven and assorted clothing items were missing.

June 15

Vehicle theft: A 2003 Honda all-terrain vehicle was stolen in the 200 block of Ohio Avenue.

Animal complaint: A Joan Avenue woman reported a neighbor’s dog had attacked her dog.

Criminal mischief: An East Liberty Street woman told officers someone had used a key to damage her son’s car. The damage estimate was $2,250.

Animal complaint: A West Wilson Avenue woman said a pit bull bit her right hand while she was on her porch with her dog.

June 16

Theft: A man who owns a piece of rental property in the 500 block of Forsythe Avenue discovered a wheelbarrow, a leaf blower, various hand tools and other items missing.
