Library friends will host historian

AUSTINTOWN

Dean Hoover from Plakie Toy Co. will present a history of the company at a meeting of Friends of the Austintown Library at 10 a.m. Monday in the community room, 600 S. Raccoon Road.

Hoover’s father founded the $2 million per year toy business in Youngstown. The Plakie line of toys was found in homes and nurseries around the nation.

The meeting is open to the public.
