Burglary: Someone entered a home in the 7500 block of Jaguar Drive through an unlocked rear porch window and stole $460, jewelry and an iPad device.

Bad check: Police responded to a possible forged check at a U.S. Route 224 bank, where they charged Quincy M. Montgomery of Belvedere Avenue Southeast, Warren, with one felony count each of passing a bad check and forgery. The 18-year-old Montgomery tried to cash a $4,651 check that had been forged, a report showed.

Felonious assault: A Glenwood Avenue man alleged another man in a truck had tried to strike the accuser with the vehicle. A set of tire tracks was found in the front yard, police said.

Theft: Officers charged 18-year-old Shiann E. Csernic of Buchanan Drive, and 19-year-old Kathryn A. Heffron of Afton Avenue, with theft. The two Boardman women were accused of stealing about $86 worth of women’s clothing and shoes from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.

Misuse of a credit card: A township woman reported that after her purse had been stolen, she found three unauthorized credit-card purchases totaling about $670.

Burglary: Took place at a home in the 1500 block of Palo Verde Drive via a rear door, from which money and jewelry were removed.

Citation: A traffic stop near South Avenue resulted in a citation charging 22-year-old Adam W. Shields II of North Edgehill Drive, Austintown, with operating a vehicle impaired.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle in the 700 block of Nellbert Lane was found with a large dent in its hood. Damage came to $400.

Recovered property: A 2001 Oldsmobile Alero vehicle was found after a Glenwood Avenue man had reported it stolen.

Harassment: A Shadyside Drive woman said her sister-in-law has sent threatening text messages. She also reported having found derogatory posts on social-media sites, causing the accuser to fear possibly losing her job.

Theft: Spare change was taken from two cars in the 4700 block of Brookwood Road.

Assault/criminal damaging: A New Middletown man reported having been punched in the nose at a South Avenue restaurant, which resulted in blood ruining a rented tuxedo and other clothing he was wearing.

Theft: Two 14-year-old Youngstown boys were accused of stealing a compact disc and two video games from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Burglary: An iPhone and two credit cards were among property taken from a residence someone had broken into in the 4700 block of Brookwood Road. The loss was estimated at $605.

Burglary: To a residence in the 400 block of Garden Valley Drive through a rear door. A computer tablet, money, a credit card and jewelry were stolen.

Arrest: Officers answered a call regarding a possible domestic situation before charging Carl F. Jordan, 28, of South Avenue, Boardman, with obstructing official business and resisting arrest. Jordan had locked himself in a bedroom, then refused to cooperate with officers as they conducted a welfare check and struggled with them as they patted him down for weapons, a report stated.

Assault: A woman in the 30 block of Willow Drive told authorities another woman jumped on her, pulled the accuser’s hair and punched her several times in the head.

Theft: A man discovered a cable box missing from his residence in the 300 block of Melbourne Avenue.

Theft: A battery-powered garden hose and reel were removed from a yard in the 200 block of Mill Creek Drive.

Burglary: Took place in the 200 block of Mill Creek Drive before a woman returned to discover a set of footprints in her living room. Nothing appeared to be missing, however.

Citation: Police answering a disturbance call in the 100 block of Terrace Drive issued a minor-misdemeanor citation charging 18-year-old Jordan C. Davis of Miller Street, Youngstown, with marijuana possession.

Theft: A New Middletown woman noticed her iPhone and its case missing while at a Boardman-Poland Road eatery.

Theft: Police picked up 45-year-old Tabitha A. Kerr of Youngstown-Hubbard Road, Youngstown, who was accused of stealing makeup and clothing May 20 from Dollar General, 859 E. Midlothian Blvd.

Theft: A Youngstown man reported various pain medications stolen while staying at an apartment in the 7300 block of Bonnie Place.

Burglary: Occurred in the 4700 block of Firnley Avenue via a rear window. Stolen were a laptop computer, money, jewelry and a cellphone.

Theft: A Campbell woman reported her wallet stolen while at a Doral Drive store.

Menacing: A Basil Avenue woman told officers a man has been watching her home about once or twice a month.

Theft: Lacrecia R. Bates, 29, and 22-year-old Amber L. Adair, both of Oxford Street, Campbell, were charged with stealing two wireless sets of headphones, a bathing suit and other merchandise from Walmart.

Breaking and entering: A Woodrow Avenue man told police he saw a male enter his garage, remove a drill kit and leave in a cream-colored Sedan vehicle.

Burglary: Occurred in the 800 block of Cook Avenue, where a 70-inch flat-screen TV, a surround-sound system and a Sony PlayStation 3 console were taken.

Burglary: An Xbox system and a 50-inch TV were missing after someone had broken into a home in the 40 block of Romaine Avenue through a rear door.

Breaking and entering: Someone entered a vacant residence in the 4400 block of Lockwood Boulevard and removed about $50 worth of copper piping.

Theft: Three people left Long Horn Steakhouse, 953 Boardman-Poland Road, without paying a $75.51 food bill.

Assault: A Shields Road woman suffered several scratches before alleging her boyfriend punched her face, tossed her to the ground and spit on the accuser when she had told him to leave her apartment.

Theft: Authorities charged 20-year-old Willis D. McCallister after alleging the Canton man had stolen three packs of dental strips from Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.

Menacing: A West Boulevard woman reported a former friend has continually harassed her, at one point having sent her 25 such text messages in one day. He also threatened to take legal action if the accuser failed to return gifts he had left at her residence, she further alleged.

Theft: A book bag and two business cards were removed from a vehicle in the 1700 block of Palo Verde Drive.

Domestic violence: Neil B. Parrish, 39, of Willow Drive, Boardman, was charged after a family member was found with red marks on his shoulder and neck. Parrish told police he tried to restrain the family member who had become violent and who has a behavior disorder and is prone to violence, a report showed.

Recovered property: Two items were found after a Youngstown woman had reported them stolen from her locker at a McClurg Road business.

Theft: A woman in her late teens or early 20s reportedly stole a LeBron James jersey and other clothing from Kmart, 1209 Boardman-Poland Road.

Harassment: A Glenwood Avenue man said he received such a text message in response to a civil dispute.

Identity theft: A Caribou Drive woman noticed two fraudulent transactions to her checking account that totaled roughly $153.

Burglary: Authorities responded to a report of a woman with a knife in the 4200 block of Hillman Way, where they charged 29-year-old Sakinah Lockhart of Hillman, Boardman, with aggravated burglary after a neighbor alleged Lockhart had tried to force her way into his apartment, evidently after an argument that started when she had asked him for a cigarette.

Theft: Police charged Damarcus M. Sadler, 27, of West Myrtle Avenue, Youngstown, in the theft of three pairs of shoes from Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: Kenneth A. Porter was charged after a pair of shorts, two T-shirts and a jersey were stolen from Kmart. The 64-year-old Porter, of West LaClede Avenue, Youngstown, also was wanted on a probation-violation charge from Hubbard.

Harassment: An Aravesta Avenue woman said she had received a call containing an implied threat.

Theft: A West Boulevard woman told police a total of $700 had been stolen from her on two occasions.

Drugs: Authorities at a Tiffany Boulevard motel took into custody 23-year-old Rachel M. Levine of Tiffany, Boardman, on a charge of possession of drug-abuse instruments. Levine, who also was wanted on a felony Portage County warrant charging drug possession, had hypodermic needles in an ice bucket and a drawer, a report showed.

Domestic violence: Marcus J. Grandberry, 20, of Leighton Avenue, Boardman, was charged with the crime after his girlfriend alleged Grandberry had hit her face, knocked her to the ground and choked her. The accuser had swelling and a red mark.

Theft: A Youngstown man reported a $319 Xbox game console stolen while at a Doral Drive business.

Robbery: An official with Home Depot, 7001 Southern Blvd., told police a man age 25 to 30 in blue jeans and with a crew cut shoved him out of the way as he attempted to detain the shoplifter who reportedly had stolen two 5-gallon buckets of paint before fleeing.

Theft: A pair of tennis shoes and a cellphone were removed from a locker at a McClurg Road business.

Theft: A Windsor Road man reported money, a cellphone, a work uniform and other items stolen during a possible burglary.

Menacing: A Boardman school-bus driver told police a man threatened him as well as several students on the bus as he dropped someone off on Cook Avenue.

Drugs: A Colleen Drive man alleged having found his girlfriend using crack cocaine as he handed to police a suspected crack pipe, though no charges were filed at the time of the report.

Theft: A man reportedly stole a computer, a tent and other merchandise from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Theft: Jah’najha D.L. Bowers, 18, of North Schenley Avenue, Youngstown, was charged after reportedly having been seen on a surveillance camera eating a bag of candy and drinking a bottle of iced tea at Walmart before paying for the items.

Aggravated menacing: A Lynn Street woman reported a man had threatened to kill her boyfriend and made an implied threat to her.

Drugs: Acting on a tip, authorities at a Boardman-Poland Road big-box store took into custody 27-year-old Jamika J. Dates of Parkhill Drive, Youngstown, on charges of heroin possession, theft and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as on warrants charging her with a probation violation and failure to appear in court. Dates tried to get rid of a sock containing a straw with suspected heroin residue and two small bags of a brown substance thought to be heroin, police said. Also arrested was Rayvenn D. Ortiz, 19, of East Dewey Avenue, Youngstown, on a theft warrant.

Theft: London D. Vinson, 24, of Taylor Drive, Niles, was charged with stealing $110 worth of women’s clothing from Pink in Southern Park Mall.

Domestic violence: Brian K. White, 21, of Brook Drive, Brookfield, was booked at Boardman Area Court on Market Street after his girlfriend alleged that during an argument in the 7100 block of Tiffany Boulevard, White had pushed her from the vehicle, causing the accuser to fall in the parking lot. She sustained injuries to her elbow and knee.

Arson: Police and firefighters responded to a possible vehicle fire in the 8200 block of Southern Boulevard before a witness reported having seen what appeared to be someone with a lighter in the carport. Five cars were destroyed or damaged in the carport.

Breaking and entering: Someone forcibly entered a vacant residence in the 1800 block of Sequoya Drive and did $350 in damage to the front door.

Theft: A township woman noticed $380 missing from her purse while shopping at a Doral Drive big-box store.

Deception: A Columbus woman reported having bought a car for $1,500 while in the 4100 block of Glenwood Avenue before learning the vehicle had a $3,000 lien against it.

Domestic violence: A 16-year-old Boardman boy was charged after his mother alleged the teen had struck her head as she disciplined him regarding a theft at Macy’s in Southern Park Mall he was accused of having committed.

Theft: Officers arrested Katie M. Grist, 29, in the 1800 block of Oles Avenue on warrants charging Grist, of Beard Road, East Palestine, with taking five candles from Dollar General, 859 E. Midlothian Blvd.

Attempted robbery: A worker for CVS Pharmacy, 7230 Market St., reported a man with tattoos on his neck wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants placed a mask on his face, leading the employee to believe he was preparing to rob the business.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle in the 700 block of Nellbert Lane was found with damage to its trunk lid and bumper.

Theft: A Youngstown woman reported her $500 iPhone stolen while at a Doral Drive big-box store.

Theft: Martina G. Lapolla, 28, of Langley Street, Niles, faced a felony-theft charge after cologne and various designer items were stolen May 27 from the J.C. Penney store in Southern Park Mall.

Robbery: A man told authorities that while walking in the 5700 block of Market Street, three males age 15 to 20 punched and knocked the victim to the ground and stole several dozen over-the-counter pills and a pack of cigarettes, then fled.

Criminal damaging: Someone tossed a large rock through a vehicle’s windshield in the 70 block of Lemans Drive. Damage was estimated at $150.

Theft: A woman reportedly left Buffalo Wild Wings in Southern Park Mall without paying for an $11.28 pickup order.

Theft: A Canfield woman reported $400 stolen from her purse while in the 900 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.

Theft: Derreka K. Clinkscale was phone booked at the Mahoning County jail on a theft charge. Clinkscale, 30, of Moherman Avenue, Youngstown, was accused of stealing 10 articles of clothing May 20 from the J.C. Penney store.

Arrest: A traffic stop near Western Reserve Road resulted in the arrest of 57-year-old Edward Fox of Cranberry Run Drive, Boardman, on a charge of operating a vehicle impaired. Fox’s blood-alcohol count was 0.132, a report said.

Theft: A former worker for a Market Street pizzeria reportedly took an undisclosed sum of money from the eatery.

Breaking and entering: Someone broke a front-door glass window, then entered Retro Vape, 4605 Market St., and took a $700 TV.

Drugs: A traffic stop on Route 224 resulted in the arrest of Brian L. Cunningham, 27, of Lima, Ohio, on charges of aggravated trafficking in drugs, drug abuse and drug abuse (marijuana) when, police said, two pill bottles with no labels and numerous over-the-counter pills were found.

Attempted theft: Someone broke into two cars in the 200 block of Mill Creek Drive, though nothing appeared to have been stolen.

Theft: A man reportedly stole $20 worth of items from Dollar General, 4996 Market St.

Fraud: A woman told authorities she had paid a man $190 to paint her Crestline Drive home, but that he failed to complete the work.

Theft: A Shadyside Drive woman discovered roughly $310 had been removed from her two vehicles.

Theft: Two women told officers a man failed to return $610 to them after they decided not to rent an apartment in the 30 block of Carter Circle.

Unauthorized use of a vehicle: An elderly Sharon Drive woman said a relative borrowed her 2010 Ford Taurus to take it for repairs, but failed to return the car.

Theft/criminal damaging: Someone in the 400 block of Boardman-Poland Road broke a car’s passenger-side window before removing two debit cards and a credit card.

Counterfeit: A manager with Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road, told police that while counting deposits, she came across four fake $50 bills.

Theft: Authorities responding to a report of a man with a firearm at Southern Park Mall arrested Tyler J. Conkle of Macklin Road, New Waterford, on warrants charging theft, aggravated menacing and aggravated trespassing related to an incident May 29 in which a worker for Buffalo Wild Wings in the mall alleged the 24-year-old Conklin had threatened her. He also refused to leave the establishment and to return a small sum of money after having been terminated, a report showed.
