Case will be bound over to grand jury

WARREN

Teajuanna J. McKinnon stood before a magistrate in Warren Municipal Court on Thursday facing a murder charge involving her boyfriend, Rayen L. Patterson.

McKinnon and her attorney, John Fowler, indicated they were waiving her right to have prosecutors show probable cause that she had committed the crime. That usually involves police officers testifying to the evidence they have gathered.

Magistrate Dan Gerin advised McKinnon her case would be bound over to a Trumbull County grand jury, which will decide whether to indict her.

McKinnon is charged with murder in the June 6 death of Patterson. She is free on $50,000 bond.
