20-year-old man gets prison term for aggravated robberies

YOUNGSTOWN — Joseph Mascarella received a 23-year prison sentence today in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court on nine counts of aggravated robbery.

Mascarella, 20, was convicted by a jury in May before Judge Lou D'Apolito.

He was accused of taking part in several armed robberies, mostly on the South Side, in fall 2013.
