St. Andrewes Church plans Charleston memorial service tonight
YOUNGSTOWN — St. Andrewes AME Church will have a 6 p.m. service today to memorialize the victims of the Charleston, S.C., mass shooting.
The Rev. Brandon A. Davis, senior pastor of the church, 521 W. W. Earl Ave., said everyone is invited to attend the service tonight.
Dylann Storm Roof, 21, was arrested today for the shooting deaths of nine people during a prayer meeting at the Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston Wednesday night.
Roof joined a prayer meeting inside the historic black church and then fatally shot nine people, including pastor and state Sen. Clementa Pinckney.
