Mahoning County grand jury indicts man for November murder

YOUNGSTOWN — A Mahoning County grand jury today indicted an 18-year-old East Philadelphia Avenue man for a shooting death in November.

Marquan White is accused of killing 20-year-old Antwon Lee Martinez of Youngstown. The grand jury charged him with murder and aggravated murder.

Martinez was found shot to death early Nov. 17 on a sidewalk in the 2500 block of Guadalupe Avenue on the North Side. Police think he had been lying there for several hours before someone noticed his body covered by snow.

White was on the run for several days before being caught by police Dec. 30.

The grand jury also indicted White on an aggravated robbery charge for a July 3 robbery last year.
