FOOD SALES AND DINNERS

THURSDAY

Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St., Warren, will have its 66th annual Strawberry Social from 4 to 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall. The a la carte menu includes hot dogs, sloppy joes, potato salad, baked beans, pie, cake, biscuits, beverages and ice cream and strawberries. Carryouts are available. There is a chair-lift for those who cannot climb stairs.

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, at the corner of Market Street, Boardman, will serve dinners of beef tips and noodles from 2:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. Meals of Angus beef tips, homestyle noodles, corn, roll with butter and a cookie sell for $8 and are takeout only. Drive up to the back door to place an order, and it will be taken out to your car. FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

SATURDAY

VFW Donald Lockett Post 6488, 2065 Coitsville-Hubbard Road, Youngstown, and the Royal Line Dancers will have a wing dings and fries special for $5 from 6 p.m. to closing. Music will be provided by DJ Greg.

SUNDAY

VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve a homestyle breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon. The prices are $6 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12. The meal comprises eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea.

MONDAY

Canfield United Methodist Church, 27 S. Broad St., will host a Summer Supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The meal consists of Swiss chicken with stuffing, green beans, coleslaw or applesauce, beverages and ice cream sundaes for dessert. The cost is $10 for dine-in or carryout. A different dinner will be served each Monday in June and July. Concerts on the Green follow the dinners.

TAKING ORDERS

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders for apple or cherry strudel. The cost is $10 each. Call 330-921-8819 to order. Pickup is from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Friday.
