Brown presses against closure of Youngstown postal facility

YOUNGSTOWN — U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Cleveland, pushed for the cancellation of the U.S. Postal Service’s plans to consolidate 82 processing centers nationwide including the one in Youngstown, during a meeting with the Deputy Postmaster General Ronald Stroman in Washington, D.C.

“Ohioans rely on USPS for timely delivery of prescription drugs, small business shipments across the country, and to manage their bills and finances,” Brown said in a statement. “I hope USPS will take its customers into account and decide not to close down these facilities.”
