STORM UPDATE | Chuck E. Cheese's closed by flooding at Eastwood Mall

NILES — A blocked storm drain or two at the Chuck E. Cheese's restaurant at the Eastwood Mall Complex caused flooding in the restaurant during a hard rain Monday afternoon, closing the restaurant early for the day.

It will also remain closed today as restaurant employees clean up, according to mall officials.

One storm drain at the back of the restaurant was plugged with tree branches and various debris, leading to an accumulation of water in that area.

One car got trapped in high water on an access road next to the restaurant.

Otherwise, the mall complex has been free of water-related problems, said Joe Bell, spokesman for the Cafaro Co., owners of the mall complex.
