Woman arrested after stabbing ex-boyfriend with screwdriver

YOUNGSTOWN — An East Boston Avenue woman, 36, was arrested Saturday evening, accused of stabbing her ex-boyfriend with a screwdriver.

Cheree Moore of East Boston Avenue was charged with felonious assault.

She told police that her ex-boyfriend came to her home to confront her about talking about him and he punched her in the face. She said the two fought and he slammed her head against a door and then hit her with a folding metal chair. She then stabbed him with a screwdriver in the arm pit. Police observed no injuries to Moore, but she was covered in the victim’s blood, a police report said.

The man told police he went to see Moore and they argued because he interrupted her while she was installing a new lock on the door. She shoved him, he shoved her back and she stabbed him with a screwdriver, the man told police.

Moore was arrested and her two children 2 and 16 left with relatives. The victim was listed in stable condition at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
