“Texas Rising” (9 p.m., History Channel): The rollicking miniseries concludes as the Rangers celebrate their victory over Santa Anna. Also, Gen. Sam Houston (Bill Paxton) is asked to take on a vital role in the future of the newly independent territory.

“The Making of the Mob: NEW YORK” (10 P.M., AMC): This fascinating docudrama recalls the exploits of notorious gangsters, including Lucky Luciano and Bugsy Siegel. Ray Liotta narrates.

Art classes offered at YWCA

YOUNGSTOWN

Two art classes will take place this month in conjunction with the YWCA’s annual women artists show.

“Paint and Taste” is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. June 22 at the YWCA, 25 W. Rayen Ave. Artist Susan Jacobs of Cortland will teach participants to paint. Cost is $20 and includes all supplies. Registration is required by today.

“Get Your Creativity Unstuck!” will be from 11 to 11:45 a.m. June 27 at the YWCA. Richarda “Ricki” Bisson, certified emotionally focused consultant and artist, will demonstrate a process that opens up new thought patterns and possibilities. It is a hands-on learning process, and all materials are provided. Admission is free, but registration is required by June 25.
