Perjury case of Sebastian Rucci dismissed

YOUNGSTOWN — A perjury trial of Sebastian Rucci was dismissed in Mahoning County Court of Common Pleas Monday.

Rucci filed a motion to dismiss the case of three felony perjury charges June 1 for speedy trial violation, court documents said. A trial was set to begin Monday in the case but Rucci’s motion to dismiss was granted.

In March, visiting Judge Thomas Patrick Curran voluntarily recused himself from the case.

These charges were part of a collection of felony indictments against Rucci and others from the former Go Go Girls Cabaret in April 2010 and now all of the charges have been dismissed against the businessman.

Rucci now operates the rebranded California Palms, Hotel and Suites at the site of the former Go Go.
