Staharas' 60th anniversary to be celebrated

YOUNGSTOWN

Andrew and Gladys Stahara of Youngstown will be observing their 60th wedding anniversary this month with a family dinner.

Their daughters will host the celebration.

The daughters are Denise Stahara of Youngstown and Sandra Stahara of Ellsworth.

The former Gladys Pitko and Mr. Stahara were married June 18, 1955, at Holy Trinity Church.

The couple are members of St. Dominic Church.

Mrs. Stahara is a homemaker. She was a Bluebird leader, a member of PTA and a dance line adviser for Woodrow Wilson High School.

Her husband worked in quality control at Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. and retired in 1980. He also was a retail advertising dispatcher for The Vindicator before retiring in 2010. He is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and served during the Korean War.
