Today's event to help 15 animal rescues

Fifteen local animal rescues will be helped through the fifth-annual open house fundraiser today at The Learning Dog Training & Enrichment Center, a force-free dog-training facility at 757 N. Main St.

The event is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will include free gifts, food and refreshments, door prizes and a basket auction as well as specials on classes.

Among the organizations to benefit from the event are Legacy Dog Rescue, No Fear Rescue, Friends of Fido, Angels for Animals, Ohio Shorthair Rescue, Humane Society of Columbiana County, Animal Pawtectors, Humane Society of Mercer County, Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, Club Pet, Animal Advocacy, Oakleys Heart, NEO Lab Rescue, Never Muzzled, Lifestyle Dogs, Happy Trails, Canines for Vets, Animal Charity and K-9’s for Compassion.
