Man accused of head-butting Youngstown cop
YOUNGSTOWN
Police reports said a man being taken into custody on a domestic violence charge about 2:30 a.m. today at a home in the 300 block of Glenwood Avenue picked up an additional charge of felonious assault for head butting a police officer.
Reports said police were called to the home for an earlier domestic violence call and were at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital with a victim when they were called back because reports said a woman told police she was attacked by Timothy Huntley, 26.
Reports said the victim at the hospital had agreed to file charges against Huntley and he became irate when he was handcuffed. Twice, he struggled with police and when he got to a cruiser, he turned around and headbutted an officer, reports said.
Reports said the officer had a bruise on his forehead and was examined by paramedics, who cleared him to return to duty.
Huntley was taken to the Mahoning County jail.
