Traffic signal to be installed later this summer at McClurg Road-South Aveune intersection in Boardman
YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning County commissioners awarded a $190,247 contract for installation this summer of a traffic light at South Avenue and McClurg Road in Boardman.
The contract was awarded today to Foust Construction Inc. of Youngstown.
The new light will include a turning arrow for northbound vehicles on South Avenue making left turns to go west on McClurg.
The intersection now has only a stop sign for eastbound motorists on McClurg, who encounter a dangerous left turn if they want to go north on the five-lane South Avenue, said county Engineer Patrick Ginnetti.
