YSU’s Dana School of Music plans vocal clinic

The Dana School of Music presents the 18th Dana Vocal Performance Clinic from July 27 through Aug. 1, at Youngstown State University.

Sessions primarily will be in Bliss Hall, but additional locations will be selected on campus.

Choir directors and music teachers are encouraged to recommend the weeklong program to vocal students.

Daily activities include warm-up techniques, vocal literature, foreign-language diction, acting principles, and vocal instruction.

The clinic is open to all singers who will be in high school during the 2015-2016 school year, as well as incoming YSU voice majors.

Tuition is $220 if paid by June 26 or $240 after June 28.
