Cyprium Partners makes investment

YOUNGSTOWN

Cleveland-based Cyprium Partners, a noncontrol private-equity firm, recently announced a sponsorless mezzanine investment in B.J. Alan Co., also known as Phantom Fireworks.

The capital was used to refinance current indebtedness and to fund continued growth, according to a news release issued from Cyprium Partners.

This investment was the fourth transaction from Cyprium Investors IV, which closed in December 2014.

YBI to kick off new program today

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Business Incubator will kick off its “Women in Entrepreneurship Program” today.

The event will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at YBI’s main campus, 241 W. Federal St. It is an informational open house with the mission of helping to promote the growth and creation of female-owned businesses.

Gas stations to be razed, rebuilt to offer Tim Hortons

AUSTINTOWN

Two BP gas stations in the township will be razed to make way for two new gas stations with Tim Hortons product offerings.

The BP on state Route 46 at the Interstate 80 interchange has been taken down and the BP at the corner of Mahoning Avenue and Meridian Road will be razed.

Tim Hortons quick-service restaurants will be built at each location with drive-thrus and convenience stores, according to Austintown Zoning documents. The I-80 station also will have a Subway restaurant.

Business showcase set in Columbiana

The Columbiana Area Chamber of Commerce will have a business showcase June 25 at Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, 28 N. Main St. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with refreshments, networking and brief presentations by MAGNET and Sitler the Printer, followed by a tour of the home.
