Boardman man arrested for domestic violence

A township man faces a misdemeanor domestic violence charge after allegedly injuring his girlfriend, the mother of his child.

The alleged victim reported to police Wednesday that Marcus Grandberry, 20, of Leighton Avenue, hit her in the face and back, bit her, pushed her to the ground and choked her.

Police arrested Grandberry based on the alleged victim's statement and observations of multiple injuries to her, according to a police report.

Grandberry was taken to the Mahoning County jail. He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday evening.
