Valley senators join delegation group
YOUNGSTOWN
The Mahoning Valley’s two state senators – Capri Cafaro of Hubbard, D-32nd, and Senate Minority Leader Joe Schiavoni of Boardman, D-33rd – along with state Rep. Tim Ginter of Salem, R-5th, joined the Valley State Delegation Working Group.
The working group was formed in January by the Valley’s four other state representatives – Michele Lepore-Hagan of Youngstown, D-58th; Ron Gerberry of Austintown, D-59th; Sean O’Brien of Bazetta, D-63rd; and Michael O’Brien of Warren, D-64th – and the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber to identify and advance the community’s legislative priorities during the 2015-16 Ohio General Assembly.
Boardman Plaza has a new tenant

WP Realty recently announced the leasing of 7,634 square feet to Speedy Furniture.
Speedy Furniture is a 50-year-old furniture retailer with more than 15 locations in western Pennsylvania and Ohio.
The new store will be in the Boardman Plaza at 451 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Farmers’ new VP
CANFIELD
Farmers Trust Co. hired George P. Millich Jr. as its new vice president, trust officer and personal trust administrator.
Millich’s office is in the trust company’s Boardman location at 42 McClurg Road.
Farmers National Banc Corp. is a financial-services company based in Canfield, with more than $1 billion in banking assets and $1 billion in trust assets.
Restaurant to raise money for cancer

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road, raised more than $50,000 to fight childhood cancer in 2014.
The company is on a bigger mission this year. From Friday to Sunday, Firebirds will participate for the second-consecutive year in Alex’s Lemonade Days, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s annual fundraiser that encourages communities to host lemonade stands in an effort to raise funds for childhood cancer research.
The Cafaro Foundation will match up to $2,000 in lemonade sales.
