Man charged after Boardman cops observe injuries to son

A township man is charged with misdemeanor domestic violence after police say he injured his 18-year-old son.

According to a police report, police responded to a hospital emergency room Tuesday evening, where the alleged victim told police that his father, Neil Parrish, 39, of Willow Drive, hurt him earlier that day.

Police reportedly determined that charges should be filed based on their observations of injuries to the victim and a statement provided by the suspect.

Parrish was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
