Staff report
YOUNGSTOWN
Because of a donation from the Burton D. Morgan Foundation, 180 kids in third through sixth grades are eligible to join Camp Invention, a summer camp where participants will engage in activities that include taking apart machines, moving and thinking quickly during fast-paced, high-energy games, building and competing in freestyle racing carts and prototyping video-game stories.
Breakfast and lunch will be served, and busing will be provided. Participation is free.
Camp Invention will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through June 19 at Discovery Program at Kirkmere and from June 22 to June 26 at Taft Elementary School.
The registration date has been extended. Open space is available at both locations. Parents can call 800-968-4332 to register their child. If all spaces are not filled, students outside of the district may join.
