Electrical outlet leads to porch fire

YOUNGSTOWN

An electrical outlet on the porch of a 433 Knox St. home stated a fire that caused $5,000 in damage Monday.

Crews were called to the home about 3:45 p.m. Reports said the home owner put part of the fire out with a garden hose.

The cause is under investigation but reports said it appeared an electrical problem was the cause of the fire. There were no injuries.
