Career burglar sent to prison

YOUNGSTOWN

A city man with 15 prior cases in Mahoning County alone was sentenced to a year in prison today in common pleas court.

Judge Lou D'Apolito said he thinks that Thomas Cappitti, 40, needs to go to prison to be reminded of what could happen if he turns again to drugs.

Cappitti was sentenced on charges of breaking and entering and possessing criminal tools for a break in at a home in October.

His record in Mahoning County stretches back to the mid-1990s.
