Motorcycle fatality is Te’kquan Alexander of Rhoda Avenue in Youngstown

The Mahoning County Coroner’s office today identified the man who died in a two-motorcycle accident over the weekend as Te’kquan Alexander of Rhoda Avenue in Youngstown.

The 37-year-old man was involved in an accident about 10:45 p.m. Saturday on Market Street, near West Evergreen Avenue.

Alexander was driving northbound on Market alongside another motorcycle when both lost control and went off the side of the road, hitting a utility pole, according to a statement from the coroner’s office.

Alexander was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital with injuries. He was pronounced dead at 11:57 p.m. Saturday, according to the coroner’s office.

Alexander was driving a Suzuki motorcycle that was reported stolen, said Lt. William Ross, head of the city police department’s traffic unit.

Two women on a Can-Am Spyder three-wheel motorcycle were injured in the accident and remain at St. Elizabeth, Ross said.

The incident is under investigation, he said.
