Campbell traffic stop leads to drug charge

Marcus Surles, 25, of Youngstown was charged with drug possession and drug paraphernalia Friday evening.

A police report states that Surles was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over for failing to signal when turning onto McCartney Road from Courtland Avenue. Police smelled marijuana emitting from the car when they asked the driver and passengers to exit the vehicle.

Police found 28.9 grams of marijuana on Surles. He was released from the scene but issued a criminal summons to appear in court Tuesday.
