Bishop to mark 166 wedding anniversaries this Sunday

Bishop George V. Murry will celebrate a special Mass on June 14, 2 p.m. at St. Columba Cathedral, Youngstown to mark the wedding anniversaries of 166 couples who are being honored for a total of 7,954 years of wedded life ranging from 25 to 75 years.

Frank and Anne Hovaner, parishioners of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Youngstown are celebrating 75 years and Carl and Madelyn Pedaline, parishioners of St. Christine, Youngstown are celebrating 71 years of marriage.

Other couples celebrating will be 52 couples married 51-70 years, 57 couples married 50 years, 30 couples will observe 40 years and 23 couples will make 25 years.

The Wedding Anniversary Celebration includes renewal of marriage vows at Mass and a personalized certificate. A reception will be held for the honored couples and their families following Mass at the Cathedral Hall.
