Titled “Gary Raneri: New Work,” the exhibition features 14 new paintings by the artist. A public reception will be Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. Featured are five large paintings from a series inspired by vintage Polaroid photos of Raneri’s family.

The gallery is open Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Wednesday and Friday from noon to 6 p.m.

The exhibit is sponsored by the McDonough Museum of Art at Youngstown State University, which will be closed until Aug. 17 for construction.
