SENIOR CITIZENS

Austintown AARP 4339 will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Austintown Senior Center on Westchester Drive. Blood pressure screenings will be available from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Sue Ann Taylor will present a program titled “Banned Books.” Refreshments will be served. The board will have a brief meeting at 2:30 p.m. Volunteers are needed to serve at the Rescue Mission on July 13 and Aug. 10. Call 330-792-7459 to sign up. There will be no regular meetings in July or August. The board will meet at 1 p.m. Aug.11 in the senior center. Regular AARP meetings will resume Sept. 8. Nonmembers and guests are welcome. J.C. Penney Retirees will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Denny’s restaurant in Boardman.

PERI, Public Employee Retirees Trumbull Chapter 56, will have a monthly meeting at 11:15 a.m. June 17 at DeLucia’s Restaurant, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. Saxon Club Retirees will meet at noon Thursday. The luncheon will feature deep fried barbecue chicken, red-skin potatoes, vegetables, green beans and almonds, salad, rolls, coffee and tea. For dessert there will be pudding, gelatin and possibly leftovers.

Sears Friendship Club will meet at noon Monday at Antone’s in Boardman.

St. Anthony Senior Club will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Faini Hall. Lunch will be served at noon. Steve and Marian DeGenar and Joan Iandimarino serve on the luncheon committee.

UFCW Local 880 Retirees Club will gather at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Davidson’s Restaurant for a meeting and bingo. Membership is open to all UFCW Local 880 retirees. New retirees who want to attend or want information should call Karen Zappia at 330-502-2103.
