Warren JFK edges Maplewood for D3 state track title
The Warren JFK High boys track team won its first state track title on Saturday, edging Maplewood 48-37 in Division III at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
Senior Chad Zallow won the 110-meter hurdles, the 100 and the 300 hurdles to pile up 30 points and sophomore Jacob Coates won the 200 and placed second in the 100 for the Eagles, whose highest finish was second in 1984.
Maplewood junior Tristan Dahmen won the 3200 title for Maplewood, which captured the state cross country title in the fall.
