Lists of vacation Bible schools open to the public will run on the Religion page. Please include the following information: the complete name of the church; address with city or township; time, date and location of sessions; program theme; ages or grades; and whether it’s free or there is a fee. Information should be submitted two weeks before the school’s opening or its registration deadline. For verification, include a name and phone number of a contact person, which will not be published.

Christian Bible Baptist Church, 2369 Oak St. Ext., Youngstown: “Jesus, the True Superhero” will be from 6 to 8 p.m. June 15-26 for participants from 3 years old to adults. Sessions are free; meals will be served daily. Cindy Bryant is director. For information, call 330-747-0318.

Clarks Mills United Methodist Church, 3813 Hadley Road, Clarks Mills, Pa.: “G-Force: God’s Love in Action” will be from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday for youths and adults. The sessions are for youths and adults. There will be interactive Bible activities, science projects, crafts, hands-on mission work, games and snacks. Coalburg United Methodist Church, 1906 Wick Campbell Road, Hubbard: “Jonah’s Big Adventures” is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. June 22-26 for children from 3 years old to junior high. It is free. Girard Community Vacation Bible School: Sessions are planned from 9 a.m. to noon June 22-26 at Girard First United Methodist Church, 22 N. Market St., Girard, on the theme “Everest: Conquering Challenges with God’s Mighty Power.” The program is for children from preschool to those completing sixth grade this school year. Registration forms are available at Girard Free Library, 105 E. Prospect St., Girard, and participating churches including St. Rose, where those interested should contact Sister Kathleen McCarragher at the Religious Education Center, 330-545-1216, or by calling the parish house at 330-545-4351.There is a $5 fee for registration. Volunteers are being sought to help assemble a mock Mount Everest inside the church from 3 to 7 p.m. June 9 and 10. Donations of materials are needed, specifically latex paint in blue, gray, white and black, and sheets or pieces of insulation foam.

Simon Road Church of God, 4750 Simon Road, Boardman: “Camp Kilimanjaro” is the theme for the free activity planned from 9:30 a.m. to noon June 15-19. Students in first through fifth grades will participate in African games, learning about Proverbs, and have snacks. To register, call 330-783-1949.
