Champion wins state softball title

The Champion High softball team defeated Bloom-Carroll, 4-0, for the Division III state title.

Haylee Gardiners (18-2) tosses a two-hitter and drove in two runs. Brittany Allen scored a run and drove in the other.

It's Champion's sixth softball crown in school history.
