WARREN
The Warren Police Department Street Crimes Unit made two arrests while serving a search warrant on a home on Cranwood Drive Southwest earlier this week.
Dosean Wright, 23, of Redford, Mich., a Detroit suburb, was arraigned Wednesday in Warren Municipal Court on a misdemeanor charge of falsification and was released from the Trumbull County jail on $1,000 bond Tuesday afternoon.
The search warrant was served Tuesday morning.
A second man, Devon Putman, 33, of Detroit, was arrested and booked into the jail, but Warren Municipal Court records have no record of his having been charged, and he also was released from the jail Tuesday afternoon, according to jail records.
The commander of the street-crimes unit was not available Thursday or Friday to discuss the nature of the investigation or whether police recovered any evidence of illegal activity.
No police report on the incident was available, and the search warrant and supporting information filed in Warren Municipal Court was sealed by a judge and not open to public inspection.
Putman was convicted in Third Judicial Circuit Court in Detroit in March on a felony drug trafficking or manufacturing charge and sentenced to two years’ probation, according to online records from that court.
He was charged with the drug-trafficking/manufacturing offense, as well as a weapons offense, in February 2005, but he failed to appear for trial in 2007. His next hearing in the case was this past January.
