Man who was shot during domestic pleads guilty to drug charge

Craig F. Hoffman, 36, of Larchmont Avenue, has pleaded guilty to cocaine possession stemming from a domestic dispute in Vienna Township in 2012 that caused him to be shot.

Police said his wife, Brooke Hoffman, 41, became angered June 13, 2012, by a suggestion from Craig Hoffman that they have three-way sex with another female, and she drove to their home and attacked him.

She drove around the back of their home on Warren-Sharon Road, firing a handgun at the house, then crashing into a motorcycle belonging to Craig Hoffman. She then entered the house, firing, hitting him, then struggling with him over the gun, police said.

Ambulance personnel found cocaine in Craig Hoffman’s pocket when they were treating him, so he was charged with cocaine possession, prosecutors said.

Brooke Hoffman was sentenced to four years in prison in January 2014 after she was convicted of felonious assault and improperly discharging a firearm into a habitation.

Craig Hoffman could get up to three years in prison when Judge Ronald Rice sentences in about month, after the county’s adult-probation department conducts a pre-sentence investigation.
