Boardman Glenwood Middle School hosted its first art show on May 1. The First Annual Art Show was put on by members of the art club and their art teacher, Chelsea Tritschler.

“Every single person in seventh- and eighth-grade has a piece of artwork in the show,” Tritschler said.

This was not only Tritschler’s first art show, but her first year teaching.

“It was a lot of work,” Tritschler said. “But it was totally worth it.”

She was excited for the art show, expecting a good outcome. Provided throughout the night were snacks and treats by the door, photo opportunities and the showcase of students’ work for all those who wished to attend the event.

A few of Tritschler’s students agreed that it was cool experience, with an even cooler teacher. Students stayed the night before to help finish the set up for the art show and some came in during their lunch period.

“All my kids are awesome,” Tritschler said. “Every single one of them just has something awesome about them.”
