Canfield Fair entertainment announced
The Canfield Fair is announcing its 2015 grandstand entertainment schedule, which features its usual combination of big-name musical acts and traditional events.
Musical entertainment will be presented this year on different nights than it has in years past. Events include:
Sept. 2 – Happy Together Tour 2015 (fondly remembered stars from the days of 1960s Top 40 radio will bring their magic to the Fairgrounds), including The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie (“It Ain’t Me Babe,” “Happy Together,” “Elenore”), The Association (“Along Comes Mary,” “Cherish,” “Never My Love”), Mark Lindsay [former lead singer of Paul Revere & the Raiders] (“Kicks,” “Hungry,” “Arizona”), The Grass Roots (“Midnight Confessions,” “Let’s Live for Today,” “Sooner or Later”), The Buckinghams (“Kind of a Drag,” “Don’t You Care,” “Mercy, Mercy, Mercy”) and The Cowsills (“The Rain, the Park & Other Things,” “Indian Lake,” “Hair”); Sept. 3 – to be announced (a major contemporary country act will come to the fair. This concert will be announced on June 12); Sept. 4 – Demolition Derby; Sept. 5 – Truck and Tractor Pull and Harness Racing; Sept. 6 – MercyMe (Christian Rock) and Sept. 7 - Pig Iron Derby and Harness Racing.
Tickets for all Canfield Fair grandstand events will go on sale June 15 at 9 a.m.
The 169th edition of the Canfield Fair — Ohio’s largest county fair — will take place Sept. 2-7.
