After sale, DRS logo to change but business will stay 'usual'

YOUNGSTOWN — Data Recovery Services LLC’s Belmont Avenue data center will have a slightly different look, but the pending acquisition by Iowa-based Involta will not impact business for employees and clients.

This week, Involta, a national leader in cloud, managed IT and data center services, entered into an agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of DRS, a managed-services and IT consulting firm operating in Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Acquired assets include more than 5,500 fiber miles in Ohio and western Pennsylvania, two Youngstown-based data centers owned and operated by DRS, an operations management agreement for the WēConnect Community Data Center near Columbus, and data center space in Pittsburgh leased by DRS.
